TOP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most of the world’s hair extensions come from Southeast Asia. Here at AVERA, we use Burmese hair. Because of the country’s close vicinity to China and India, we find the hair is strong and durable like Chinese hair, but still fine and soft enough to be styled to any look you may want.
For any orders over $100, we offer USPS Priority Shipping for free. Priority Shipping usually takes around 2-3 business days. We also offer Overnight and Same Day shipping for those who need it right away. If you have more questions, please visit our FAQ page of SHIPPING & HANDLING
Absolutely! AVERA hair extensions are made from authentic human virgin hair, so you can dye or bleach the hair. Each specific product has the colors we assure you can lightened to. One thing to keep in mind, when you chemically treat the hair extensions such as dyeing or bleaching. The textured curls will loosen after the process. With proper maintenance and using high quality hair care products, you can use AVERA hair for up to 2 years. Hair extensions require more care than our own natural hair. Always use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner as well as moisturizing leave-in conditioner to keep the hair feeling healthy and smooth. Most tangling and shedding issues come from not properly maintaining the hair extensions.
For a full weave, we generally recommend (2) bundles and sometimes (3) if you’re going with longer lengths (20” to 28”). It’s always better to have more than not enough. Then you’ll need a closure to completely enclose it on the top.
For our AVERA Curli Crush, please refer to the guide on the product page for reference. Two sets is the most we’d recommend to be put in at one time.
Always use salon quality products. Most salons you go to get your hair done have products that will work for your hair extensions. Always purchase sulfate-free products. Use moisturizing leave-in conditioner and/or oil to keep your hair moisturized and healthy to prevent tangling and shedding. Durability, healthy, longevity can all be attained by using the right products. Remember to take care of your hair and it’ll take care of you
Generally we recommend you wash your hair once a week. Because hair extensions typically require more maintenance than your own natural hair, we recommend you wash your hair at your stylist.
Washing your extensions not only keeps the hair clean and smooth, it also prevents tangling which can lead to shedding. Also most salons use high quality sulfate-free cleaning products which are much better for your hair in comparison to the products we buy at our local store. Check with your stylist to see the products they’re using.
