One of the best hip-hop musicians of our time, Jay-z, kicked off his 444 Tour on Friday October 27 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The tickets were very affordable being that it was the opening show. Despite that, Jay-z came to deliver! He performed features from his latest album 4:44, as well as a host of throwback hits including Big Pimpin', Izzo, Hard Knock Life and Encore. The 360-degree arena was the perfect platform for Jay to connect with his audience.
Hov kept it comfortable during the concert sporting a white hoodie and slim jeans. Highlights of the show included him giving a shout-out to his hometown Brooklyn, and reminding the audience that you never know what other people are going through, and to always check up on your friends. We definitely felt the love! Jay-z closed the show with the song "Smile" and rapped it to the exit.
While many fans (us included) were hoping Jay would bring his beautiful wife to the stage, she was probably at home with her newborn twins. However, she may appear on tour at a later date. The last show of the 444 tour will be in December in Los Angeles. We highly recommend snagging tickets if you can.
